From the Head of Department
Dear Students;As Bartın University, Faculty of Science, Department of Computer Technology and Information Systems, we enrolled our first undergraduate students in the fall semester of the 2019-2020 academic year. Computer Technology and Information Systems Department is one of the most preferred departments by students in our country and has a 100% occupancy rate. Bartın University Computer Technology and Information Systems Department is the first department opened at the Faculty Level in our country, unlike other universities with the same name. This difference brings with it many advantages. Our graduates have the opportunity to obtain a Faculty Diploma, unlike the students who graduate from the departments with the same name.
The main advantages of Bartın University, Faculty of Science, Department of Computer Technology and Information Systems are as follows;
- Department of Computer Technology and Information Systems continues its teaching and research activities with a strong academic staff in the form of 3 associate professors, 2 assist professors and 2 research assistants. Thus, you will have the opportunity to receive education from a strong, young and dynamic academic staff in their field.
- Our students can take English Preparatory education upon request. This situation will provide important advantages to our graduate students when they enter the business life and / or want to get a postgraduate education.
- While our students are studying in our department, they will have the opportunity to do a double major and a minor if they meet the requirements. Thus, students will be able to graduate with a double diploma. Studies continue for the double major and minor program.
- Our students; By taking advantage of the Erasmus exchange program, they will be able to complete some of their education in equivalent departments of universities abroad.
- Our department has a strong laboratory, hardware and software infrastructure and facilities.
- Our department's graduate program has been activated as of 2019-2020 academic year. Thus, our graduate students can continue their graduate education and improve their knowledge and experience, if they wish and meet the conditions.
- In our department; Current courses needed by the business world such as computer programming, web programming, mobile application development, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data mining, digital game design, graphic and animation design, virtual and augmented reality applications development, robotic applications, video design, project management. By giving, we try to increase the competencies of our students and prepare for their professional lives.
- Computer Technology and Information Systems Department graduates; has the opportunity to work in areas such as web design / programming, database design / management, system architecture, system analysis / design, computer programming, system control, usability analyst, project team management, computer networks institution / management, research assistant in relevant departments of universities. In addition, our graduates have the opportunity to become an information technology teacher by getting formation.
