Our university was explained at the seminar in YÖK Virtual Fair

Our University International Student Office Coordinator Instr. Burçin Kef talked about qualified training opportunities in Bartın at the seminar at the "Study in Turkey YÖK Virtual Fair 2020" event.

The "Study in Turkey YÖK Virtual Fair 2020" event, which aims to attract attention to Turkish higher education in 142 countries and to bring young people of higher education age with universities, has started. In the first virtual fair where our university was introduced in digital environment, international students were informed about Bartın and Bartın University.

Speaking at the seminar within the scope of the fair held in order not to restrict the higher education mobility in our country due to the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19), our University International Student Office Coordinator Instr. Burçin Kef explained the training opportunities in Bartın in English.

Kef said, “Our university, which has 1,100 students from 58 different countries, has become a higher education institution preferred by international students day by day. In the first call for the 2020-2021 Academic Year, we received record applications. 4,743 people from 76 different countries applied to study at our University. Bartın University is an important starting point for the future of all our students. We expect everyone who wants to have a good career with a student-oriented education approach. Our qualified academic staff is always working for the development of our students with the quality-oriented education-teaching processes and is closely interested in them. ”

Emphasizing that the second term applications of international student admissions continue, Kef reminded that the applications, which started on July 13, will continue until August 3, 2020.

Kef also gave information about the programs in 9 faculties, 4 colleges and institutes and gave information to the students in 54 different student clubs within the university, double major, minor, appropriate tuition fees, cultural integration courses, and shelter.

Emphasizing that Bartın is a city where students can spend a good time with their safe, comfortable and natural beauties, Kef said, “Our students will have spent this part of their lives in a precious city with its history, culture and nature as well as having a good education”.

Kef added that the students who were entitled to enter our University due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic extended their records until 15 December 2020.

Within the scope of “Study in Turkey YÖK Virtual Fair 2020”, Bartın University faculty members will meet with international students in seminars to be held in Arabic and Russian on Tuesday, 21.07.2020, and French on Wednesday, 22.07.2020.
